In the eighties, the Star trek clone Galaxy Quest ran for a few seasons with modest success before getting cancelled. Since then, the cast lives on past glory and drags itself from one sci- fi convention to another. They’ll get a chance to relive their adventures on an actual space ship when their most fanatical fans pay them a visit. The Thermians are an alien race and their planet is in danger. They think that Galaxy Quest was a documentary. This means their only chance of salvation lies in the hands of a bunch of ego-tripping has-beens. This hilarious sci-fi parody with a star-studded cast (Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman…) won the Silver Raven and the Audience Award at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival in 2000.
